Award Demonstrates Commitment to Attracting, Hiring, and Retaining Veterans
Mashantucket, CT (November 10, 2022) – Leading up to Veterans Day, U.S. Secretary of Labor Martin J. Walsh recognized WWC Global, a federally focused management consulting firm, as one of the recipients of the 2022 HIRE Vets Medallion Award, during an award ceremony presented by the U.S. Department of Labor. WWC Global is a member of the Command Holdings community of companies owned by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation.
The Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing American Military Veterans Act (HIRE Vets Act) Medallion Program is the only federal award program that recognizes employers who successfully recruit, hire, and retain veterans.
“Over 60% of our team members at Command Holdings are veterans and/or military spouses. This award highlights our resolve to hire veterans as well as other underutilized workforces,” said John Panamaroff, Command Holdings CEO. “On this upcoming Veterans Day, we celebrate their contributions, the sacrifices they made while in uniform, and their commitment to our country.”
Recipients of the 2022 HIRE Vets Medallion Award meet rigorous employment criteria, including veteran hiring and retention percentages, availability of veteran-specific resources, leadership programming, and human resource efforts. Approximately 1,400 employers have earned a HIRE Vets Medallion Award since 2018. More information is available here.
With over 400 employees in more than 30 contract locations, spanning four continents and 17 time zones, Command Holdings was established in 2017 and is a sustainable self-sufficient Section 17 corporation of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation.
